Ireland

As promised, here are pictures from my recent trip to Northern Ireland. For the benefit of those who didn't read my other Ireland post, my family have a house in Bushmills (round the corner from the Giants Causeway) and we go there at least once a year. My Dad's parents live in Portrush which is a 10minute drive away and my other Granny lives in Derry. My Dad is from Dungannon and my Mum is from Donemana, I was born in Belfast but moved to London when I was 2 and haven't been there for years. Next time I'm in Ireland for longer than a few days I think I'll definitely try and visit Belfast, I'm pretty sure there is loads of stuff to do there and I remember that last time I went (to visit Queens University) we found an excellent vintage shop where I picked up a retro Adidas slogan tee, that I've gone a bloody lost now!!

So this is where our house is and isn't it lovely! So peaceful but not empty of life. The sea and it's waves is like an ever changing neighbour and the sunset is so dramatic. When everywhere was covered in frost the atmosphere changed into something hauntingly beautiful! I adore it here so much, the walks along the beach give me time to think and the lawn is perfect for summer parties. As a child we had so much fun running around with our Irish neighbours and as an adult I've really begun to appreciate the scenery and tranquillity of the area. Hopefully we can visit again soon =)

Really want a pair of the H&M x Swedish Hasbeens slip on clogs x

  21. Sigh, you made me homesick! Although it is not technically my home.. yet! But will be very very soon! I just think everything is nicer there :P LIke the countryside in England is ok, but in Ireland it's like a fairytale... I think its becuase of all the celtic stories I know! :) When we get married, me and MR will in Portstewart/Portrush area for few months until he finished his PhD and then we'll move closer towards Belfast. And as I said- next time you're there, I can show you around Belfast! :) (though I still need to learn my way around it first, hah!)I can't wait, it will be so much fun!
