Took these photos at some stupid hour of the evening hence the dodgy quality but what you gonna do? I love this top, it's huge with bat wing / kimono like sleeves plus l love the spots and oversized shape!
Tonight I'm seeing the new Harry Potter film and I am beyond excited! I read the first book when I was about 11 and before they were famous so I really have grown up with the series. I queued up at midnight for the final book and I know I'm going to shed a tear (or more) after seeing the film, it's the end of an era! I was really excited to hear about PotterMore and I'm really looking forward to reading all the ebooks once it's opened. Of course I'm wearing my Deathly Hallows necklace from Victoria tonight in celebration. Last night we watched Deathly Hallows part 1 in preparation so I've barely been able to contain my excitment today at work!
A little fun fact for all you Harry Potter fans! Before they made the second film a casting person came and watched our school play. She obviously thought we were such great actresses at the age of 14 or so that we were all allowed to audition for the parts of Susan Bones and Moaning Myrtle. I did such a good job that I was called back for a second audition at their casting offices in Central London but unfortunately my acting wasn't actually that good and I didn't get the part =( Just imagine if I had though. Rupert Grint could have been my real life boyfriend instead of pretend and I could steal Emma Watson's clothes! Wishful thinking......

ReplyDeleteThe feed on my facebook was potter overload last night! Such a nice floaty top also, looks very comfortable. That is a really interesting fact, fate is a funny thing sometimes! Enjoy yourself tonight too! It's amazing how time flies. :)
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely! Cool fact about the auditions too, I never knew that :) I can't wait to see it but it will be saying goodbye to my childhood too :(

I auditioned too, I was part of Pheonix acting agency when I was a kid, they said I was too old boohooo I was a tall 13 yr old. Gutted. Mark Lewis is so hot now, when did that happen?
ReplyDeleteRupert Grint would have so been your bf, hes severely missing out!
ReplyDeleteloving the dottiness xxxx
I'm not going to get to see it until Monday, but I am hoping that means the cinema won't be too full of screaming kids!
ReplyDeleteI really really wanted to go to the Lavender Brown auditions but didn't really have anyway of getting up to London at the time :(
I can't help feel that HP ending is much more of a milestone marking my ascent into adulthood rather than my graduation or turning 21!
Firstly loving theoutfit choice.
ReplyDeleteMy nephew went last night at 12 to see a showing. We shall go and see it at some stage. Be sad to say good bye to dear old Harry potter.

I can't believe you got to audition! That's very cool. The actor who played Colin Creevey went to my school, and you would have thought that being in a blockbuster movie would get him some kind of street cred. Oh no, the poor boy was just known as Colin Creevey kid :P.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of those rare people who never really 'got' the films, I had such a strong idea of how the world should be that I don't think they could ever have made a film that I thought was right. So I did all my Potter mourning when the final book came out in 2007. I'll probably watch the last film at some point, but that would involve watching all the others first! I hope you enjoyed it! xx
that's so awesome about the auditions... can you imagine?!
ReplyDeletelove this outfit, very jealous of the vivienne's!

Oversize polka dot tops are definitely one of my favourites- gorgeous. I am seeing Harry Potter tomorrow night at the IMAX, so excited. Gutted it is all over though; my friend told me I should read it when I was in my first year at uni and it has been a obsession ever since. Can't wait to hit Harry Potter world when I visit Florida!

Oh you know I love all things HP. There were some very inventive costumes when I went to see it - one girl had a great house elf outfit.
ReplyDeleteGreat claim to fame there! I have been working over HP weekend at work (cinema) :( It's been super busy
