Some would say red and pink should not be worn together but I disagree. Rules are made to be broken so if I want to wear bright red jeans and bright pink shoes together I will, plus I don't think it looks that bad at all. I bought these Vans recently after seeing them on Carol and instantly feel in love, as a kid (and still today) I can't get enough of Hello Kitty related merchandise. That Sanrio company hit the nail on the head when it's come to branding. Schuh are also selling THIS other pair of Hello Kitty Vans which I love as well but I know I only need one set in my life so I'll just have to do without! The bow tie is just a fun little take on the work wear I see on a daily basis, a lot of men wear ties, some wackier than others so I felt like joining in!
Are you a Hello Kitty addict like me x

The bow tie is inspired, and very apt! You might have to forgive me if I steal that idea... red and pink make a great combo, as do green and red, blue and black, and all those other combinations that should 'never be seen'.
ReplyDeleteHello Kitty Vans - i LOVE it! x
ReplyDeleteAwww yessss - big on hello kitty! :) I got a hello kitty cake for my birthday - it's up on my blog! xx

I saw a blouse in UO today and it was £45 but I loved it, it had a little bow around the collar and I like how you've done yours so I might just get some ribbon and tie it round a shirt! It looks lovely and too right about breaking the rules, some people black and brown don't go together but I love it!
ReplyDeleteI dislike fashion rules like that, they also say red/green shouldn't be combined, but that can look good too! As you, the rules are made to be broken. I love your jeans and shirt :) xx
ReplyDeleteSirens and Bells
you totally get away with it - brilliant mash of the two colours!
ReplyDeleteAhhhh the vans are so cute! I need some red skinnies in my life!

I have failed to buy any bright coloured jeans and I'm so cross about it. Yours look fab here. I think red and pink are fine to wear together, its just about being confident enough to try it!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit, I've never worn pink and red but I do wear blue and green which should "never be seen" apparently
ReplyDeletewell i think they look fab together.

I love Hello Kitty - I went a little crazy when I was in Japan and bought enough Hello Kitty things to last me a lifetime!
ReplyDeleteLove the necktie too, it's great how you wear such colourful outfits to work. x
very cool colour combo. you definitely make it work, it makes me want to try it out. fashion rules are totally made to be broken :) x
ReplyDeleteHello Kitty stuff just doesn't appeal to me. Not quite sure why - I like cats and I'm quite a fan of cute stuff, but there it is. And I hate pink too! Oh dear. That's not to say that I'm not admiring your outfit because I definitely like how it looks on other people but it's just not for me.
ReplyDeleteCutest outfit ever! Love the added detail of the bowtie, definitely makes the outfit. x
ReplyDeletelove your bow, what a nice touch xx
