With the glorious heatwave taking place its definitely been time to crack out a few long lost summer outfits before we are plunged into cold, grey days for the next 8 months. I've actually been meaning to show you this look for AGES so with a BBQ on the go now is the perfect time. Jil Sander SS11 was a massive hit, everyone loves to colour block especially when it involves playful colours like bright pink, orange, green and blue. Pink and white is a timeless colour combination so I decided to embrace this look full on. The skirt was a sale piece and I love the long splits up either side. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of the maxi trend I do love this look and come next summer I will definitely be wearing it again.

Have you been embracing the heat wave x

  3. Love it! Even if it is pink (which I really dislike as a colour!).

I bet that skirt would look fab in the winter with boots and some contrasting tights underneath. You'd just show the odd flash of them every now and then.

  7. Cool outfit! I'm glad the colour blocking trend is here to stay! I think the skirt would look great in the cooler weather too with a jumper scarf and furry boots :) My mind is stuck in 'winter clothing' mode and the sunshine has just confused it haha

  8. Ah, this works! I cannot dare go near pink but feel a certain joy when others manage to do it well! I have the skirt in red and fear those side splits in the northern wind - definitely a keeper for warmer times (like now, which is bizarre in october!).
